What you'll do on a typical day:


  • Act as a liaison for service center management, leave of absence administrator and employees; facilitate appropriate tracking and communication of employee status

  • Assist with resolving open escalated cases related to benefits or HR; process status changes

  • Answer questions from employees related to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refer more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management

  • Perform audits of missed punches and other anomalies within Kronos to ensure accurate payroll and reduce risk for the company

  • Assist with the implementation and administration of services, policies and programs aimed at maintaining a safe, positive environment in the company

  • Complete periodic audits of employee information, including employment, compensation, certification and status-change data; advise business partners on policies and operating practices

  • Ensure compliance, training and oversight on policies and procedures


What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you'll need:


  • 2 years of experience in human resources

  • Knowledge of basic business and customer service principles, including planning, organizing and resource management

  • Availability to travel upon request


It'd be great if you also have:

  • Associate degree in Human Resources or a business-related field

  • PHR/SHRM certification

  • Experience with HRIS programs such as Kronos and SuccessFactors (SAP), and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)

  • Strong attention to detail and solid organizational skills

  • The self-motivation to work well with minimal supervision or in a team environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills; able to establish and maintain effective, collaborative work relationships both internally and externally
