Job Description:

A plastics company in Elk Grove Village , IL is looking for an Injection Molding Supervisor for a 3rd shift opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Processing of new and/or existing product to ensure molded components meet requirements, making adjustments as required.


• Maintain appropriate communication between shifts


• Responsible for all aspects of the injection molding process including, but not limited to, set-up and tear down, troubleshooting, equipment maintenance and work flow


• Ensure product complies with established quality standard and documented work procedures.


• Prepare work orders for tool room and/or equipment maintenance


• Coordinate transfer of needed corrugated and product labels from warehouse to manufacturing area


• Ensure proper lock out/tag out procedures are followed by all appropriate personnel


• Stop machines and/or production due to machine concerns or safety violations


• Assist in evaluation of personnel on assigned shift, as determined by Plant Manager


• Discipline as necessary, up to and including recommendation of termination of departmental employees

• 5+ years experience of Injection Molding


• Strong mechanical/technical aptitude, organizational skills, decision making skills, and leadership skills


• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to calculate figures and amounts using basic math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
