Software Engineer (DevOps)

Nant Games is looking for a DevOps Engineer with expert knowledge in delivering large, complex, highly available software systems. In this position, you will manage infrastructure projects and processes. Keen attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a solid knowledge base are essential.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement build, deployment, and configuration management


• Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning


• Work with team members to capture requirements for ad-hoc processes


• Code and asset deployments to all environments


• Educate team members on development and operation practices


• Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve


• Manage CI/CD tools with team


• Create and maintain documentation for system usage and troubleshooting

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years’ experience working as a DevOps Engineer


• 4+ years’ experience within a IT related, or operations field


• Experience with software development, infrastructure development, or development and operations


• Strong communication skills


• Experience with Linux infrastructures,


• Experiences managing relational and non-relational database technologies


• Experience building and configuring CI/CD pipelines


• Experience scripting languages/shells such as Python, Groovy, Bash, etc.


• Experience with a major cloud provider such as AWS, GCP, or Azure

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience


• Experience working within the games industry


• Experience with large scale production environments for mobile applications


• A desire to mentor other engineers


• Experience working with the Unity engine


• Experience with statically typed programming languages, such as Java or Go


• A passion for game development with a focus on tooling
