Production/Inventory Control Manager(PIC)

DEPARTMENT: Operations

REPORTING TO: Director of Operations

SUMMARY:Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, the Production Inventory Control Manager has the
primary responsibility of maintaining optimal scheduling practices and accurate inventory levels in order to maximize profitability and customer on time delivery and satisfaction.This position will work cross functionally with sales, shipping, purchasing, production, and
accounting to develop processes for inventory, manufacturing, and production control systems and help lead in the resolution of a diverse range of problems consistent with the goals that support our mission and vision.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:Include, but are not limited to:

Develop, implement, and perform production control procedures to ensure accurate material movement in the production cycle and accurate reporting in the
GSS system
*

Develop, implement, and perform inventory management procedures to ensure that adequate inventory levels are present and accurate data is reflected in
the GSS system
*

Develop, implement, and perform work order execution procedures to ensure timely scheduling for on time delivery to customers and visibility of inventory
needs in the GSS system
*

Perform plant production transaction analysis to identify production control problems, analyze root cause, and drive solutions
*

Perform inventory transaction analysis: verify the authorization and accuracy of inventory transactions including material backflush, WIP to FG
transactions, scrap reporting, I/C transfers, cycle count and miscellaneous adjustments and implement corrective steps when appropriate
*

Analyze inventory cost data to provide data regarding the cost impact on inventory of labor and material changes, the carrying cost of inventory, resin cost
analysis, slow moving and obsolete inventory analysis, and optimizing stocking levels with inventory management
*

Manages the substitution and/or disposal of obsolete inventory
*

Coordinate and assist in the management of physical inventory counts and perform analysis and review of results
*

Perform special projects as required by authorized managers
*

Assist in continuous, consistent improvement of system utilization and policies and procedures

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

* Ability to work under pressure with ability to multitask and quickly adapt to changing conditions to solve problems immediately

* Ability to pay a keen attention to detail to effectively manage inventory

* Ability to work well cross functionally and maintain organization of cross functional projects

*

Competent oral and written communication skills are required in
order to effectively communicate with internal and external customers

COMPUTER SKILLS:

ERP experience highly recommended and Global Shop Solutions experience preferred.
Proficient computer skills in Microsoft products including required. Excel, Word knowledge
required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor of Science Degree preferred

Strongbusiness acumen including the following:

Knowledge
of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource
allocation, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources

Knowledge
of economic and accounting principles and practices
*

Knowledge
of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or
services

Proven
ability to analyze current business issues, end-user needs, and formulate
market segmentation strategies while directing both qualitative and
quantitative research

Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and
simultaneously manage several projects

Willingness to work a flexible schedule

Computer literacy, Microsoft Office products required
High level of Emotional Intelligence
