JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
This position provides hygiene, comfort, and safety needs to assigned patients of all ages, under the direct supervision of a RN. He/She may conduct psycho educational and symptom management patient groups.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School or GED (Required)BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association, CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention - Crisis Prevention InterventionPatient Care Tech training or equivalent training with proof of completion. six months Experience as a clinical assistant or patient care assistant. Must have current Basic Life support (BLS) and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) within the first 3 0 days of hire and must remain current throughout employment. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Emotionally mature, uses sound judgment; Ability to make decisions calmly and quickly. Agility to intervene with aggressive patients. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products. Demonstrated ability to organize/coordinate activities/groups. 1-2 yrs. previous Experience in health care crisis intervention program
