DESCRIPTION:

Provides professional nursing care within the Pediatric Oncology Outpatient Department, coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care. Treatment of pediatric patients.

Our nurses who work within the pediatric unit care for infants through the age of 18. Registered nurse responsibilities include all aspects of patient care. This care includes monitoring heart rate, blood pressure, breathing and respiration, as well as managing the pain and nausea.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Florida or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions).

*American Red Cross or American Heart Association Pediatric Life Support Course (PALS) and certification.
* American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and certification.
* Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
* Additional languages preferred.
* Basic computer knowledge.
* APON certification required

* One year (1) year of Pediatric Oncology Nursing experience preferred.
