Job Description:

The Field Sales Representatives at OPTI Medical is responsible for selling our capital equipment and testing kits including Point of Care Blood Gas Analyzers, SARS-CoV-2 RT PCR test kits, and other Infectious Disease products to new prospective customers. The Field Sales Representative will be responsible for meeting with and demonstrating our equipment and tests to Laboratory Managers and Respiratory Therapy Managers in Hospitals, Universities, and Reference Laboratories with the main objective of growing sales in the region.

In The Field Sales Represenative role you will:

Make sales calls to Laboratory Managers in prospective Hospitals, Universities, and Reference Laboratories to:

Demonstrate equipment and build value

Close new accounts to grow territory revenue

Cross-sell additional product

Maintain Salesforce.com database with accurate profiles, notes, and opportunity pipeline information.
Work as a team directly with an Inside Sales Associate, who will be responsible for lead generation in the territory, to plan and coordinate sales trips and meetings.
Be trained to fully understand the PCR, Infectious Disease, and Blood Gas Analyzer market, gaining knowledge of all OPTI Medical products and competitors.
Understand the problems our customers have and how we can solve them.
Help during the COVID-19 pandemic by helping our customers increase testing capacity.

What you need to succeed?
-
Possess 2+ years of sales and/or applicable business experience preferred.
-
Have an understanding of the human diagnostic market and/ or experience in healthcare or scientific industry a plus.
-
The ideal candidate with have a bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline preferred OR the equivalent combination of experience and education.

Be highly motivated and ambitious.

Highly effective communication skills including writing, listening and questioning
-
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport quickly.
-
Capability to absorb and articulate technical information.
-
Strong organizational skills, especially in a multi-tasking environment.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Computer proficiency (Microsoft Windows, SalesForce.com, Excel, Word and Outlook)

Travel: Some overnight travel required-50-75%(post COVID).

Work Environment: Work from home. Extensive phone and computer use.
