Job Description:

As the Senior Manager, Chemistry Product Support, you will lead a team of scientists and engineers in protecting and continuously improving customer experience and product availability for IDEXX Chemistry analyzers and consumables. Your team solves complex product problems, evaluates changes to on-market products and verifies and validates product changes. You will work closely with Operations leaders, R&D Scientists and Engineers and product managers responsible for on-market chemistry products.

The ideal candidate will be a highly collaborative leader, with strong technical skills and experience with and commitment to structured problem solving, systems thinking and rigorous change management.

What you can expect in this role:

You will manage activities the Chemistry Product Support Team, including technical staff and supervisors, assigning work, monitoring activities and evaluating performance. You will administer employment actions, provide coaching and guidance to staff and promote staff training and development.

You will lead development of area budget, policies and procedures and contribute to development of strategy and direction.
-
You will lead work activities of the Chemistry Product Support Team, planning and organizing work, providing for adequate staffing and resources and maintaining work on schedule so that ongoing customer satisfaction is maintained.

You will identify and implement strategies and efficiencies to enhance customer experience and align with business operations.

You will communicate with other related departments to coordinate work and resolve issues as needed.

You will use data, metrics and system tools to ensure efficiency and to maximize customer experience. You will identify problems, obstacles and opportunities and proactively acts to address issues, always striving for continuous improvement.

What you will need:
-
You will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. A Master's degree or equivalent preferred.

You have strong management and collaborative leadership skills and ability.
-
You have well-developed technical and analytical skills and abilities including experience with structured problem solving.
-
You are able to organize, prioritize and direct work activities and you possess general business knowledge.
-
You have excellent customer service and business relationship-building skills.
-
Your strong communication skills, both verbal and written, serve you well as a leader.
