Job Description
I. Job Summary | Major goals and objectives.
The Audience Retention Manager manages, analyzes, and executes email and browser notifications programs to maximize web traffic and revenue for assigned Meredith brands. This person will focus their efforts on strategy, planning, promotion, and execution to drive onsite engagement. They will work closely with online editorial and business managers, database and technical staff and vendors to execute programs that align with departmental goals for driving traffic and revenue. In addition, the Audience Retention Manager will be responsible for ongoing reporting and analysis of performance and recommendations for new strategies to meet goals.

Manage Program Execution

Execute audience retention programs and initiatives

Brand-level contact strategy including engagement and re-engagement efforts

Oversee day-to-day operations related to email and other forms of marketing communication for assigned brands

Manage the implementation of new and existing programs for assigned brands

Achieve goals by implementing effective tests to maximize performance

Communicate effectively with editorial, technical, production and analytics teams to ensure all stakeholders' interests are incorporated into solutions

Assist with efforts to growth audience while maintaining quality to improve retention

Measure and Monitor Performance Data

Manage email and retention program reporting, distribution and questions associated with vertical and brands, as assigned

Monitor metrics to identify trends and provide strategic direction for future campaigns, tests or additional programs

Manage & coordinate email content team roles and responsibilities

Effectively communicate metrics and test results to stakeholders in a timely manner

Stay current with Best Practices and Legislation

Stay current on industry news and trends that affect email deliverability and conversion rates

Understand CAN-SPAM and other current and proposed legislation that may impact email programs

III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or equivalent training and/or experience
Experience:
Minimum 5 years related professional experience
Email Marketing and/or experience using an email platform preferred
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Fundamental understanding of the Internet and HTML experience
Strong management and communications skills to lead a team
Good critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills are necessary.
Must possess an understanding of basic Excel functionality.
Must be detail-oriented and flexible at the same time in an everchanging digital environment
Ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal stakeholders
Excellent time management skills for multiple projects with a range of scope
