Job Description:

The Director, Marketing is responsible for directing the development, implementation
and administration of divisional marketing and communication programs by providing global oversight and support to sales programs, product development and brand awareness campaigns.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Participate in the development of branding and corporate identity initiatives
- Contributes to marketing effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing directives.
- Develop and implement marketing plans, including promotional calendars and programs, new product introductions and other marketing projects.
- Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Monitor costs and budgets.
- Develop sales forecasting and product branding plans.
- Establish and grow a target market share.
- Conduct customer, brand and product research initiatives
- Offer expert advice to develop innovative advertising, public relations, social media and events.
- Negotiate with media partners to guarantee advantageous contracts.
- Work with new business development team and sales teams on brand initiatives
- Manage agency providers, consultants, freelancers and other suppliers, including contract negotiation and management.
- Obtains market share by developing marketing plans and programs for each product; directing promotional support.
- Maintains relations with customers by organizing and developing specific customer- relations programs; determining company presence at conventions, annual meetings, trade associations, and seminars.
- Provides short- and long-term market forecasts and reports by directing market research collection, analysis, and interpretation of market data.
- Influences present and future products by determining and evaluating current and future market trends.
- Develops new uses for existing products by analyzing statistics regarding market development; acquiring and analyzing data; consulting with internal and external sources.
- Maintains research database by identifying and assembling marketing information.
- Provides marketing information by answering questions and requests.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

- BS/BA in Marketing or Business related field required
- MBA or postgraduate degree in Marketing or Business related field preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

- Minimum of seven (7) years' work experience in a similar role required.
- Experience working directly with/or on behalf of businesses that serve clinical research sites (academic medical centers, institutions, independent sites, community hospitals, physician groups); familiarity with CRO/pharma/biotech required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience of increasing responsibility inclusive of line management/supervisory duties.
- Demonstrated strong problem solving and analytical skills required.
- Competence with Microsoft Office, Word Press and Adobe Design Suite.
- Must be self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and achieve measurable results.
- Outstanding writing skills and verbal communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to the targeted audience will be required.
- Strong interpersonal skills required such as listening objectively and handling details of a highly confidential and critical nature.
- Detail-oriented.
- HTML skills and CSS skills required.
- Knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics required.
- Experience creating and editing videos a plus.
- Salesforce.com experience a plus.
- Travel up to 25% may be required.
This position can be based in our Princeton, NJ, Madison, WI, or Eden Prairie, MN office.
