Job Description:

Job Summary:The Leave Coordinator maximizes the productivity and performance of employees by supporting employees, managers and Human Resources during the leave and interactive process; coordinating, navigating and enabling the leave processes for our 5,300 employees.
The Leave Coordinator is engaged in all facets of the employee life cycle relating to impairments or disabilities, which affect an applicant or employee's ability to complete the required functions of their role. This position performs in compliance with government laws and company policies, remaining current on Federal and State regulations regarding disability, leave and discrimination.

- Interprets and administers leave programs and policies in accordance with the applicable company policy and federal and state employment laws (FMLA, ADA, NJFLI, etc.)
- Identifies and implements improvements to current programs, policies and processes to ensure alignment with business unit objectives and current best practices.
- Works closely with associates and employees to ensure that all relevant completed leave documentation is submitted for timely review To Sedgwick.
- Maintains appropriate contact with all employees and their managers on leave and coordinates all aspects of return to work from a leave.
- Facilitates the timely communication of approvals, denials, return to work status and other important information to managers and employees.
- Provides education and direction to employees, managers and Human Resources on law as well as company policies and practices.
- Partners with HR to review employee request for ADA Accommodation and return to work restrictions.
- -Interacts with employees, managers, members of the HR team, third party leave provider (Sedgwick) and Legal to take relevant information on a leave or an accommodation request and translate it in an understandable way for the business, while maintaining strict confidentiality of medical conditions.
- Ensure leaves and accommodations are implemented consistently across the organization.
- In addition, connects employees and managers to appropriate programs, services or resources for optimal performance.

Education/Experience
- Requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of experience in the HR fieldAdditional Licensing, Certifications, Registrations
Knowledge
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Prefers knowledge of Federal and NJ State leave and accommodation laws.Skills and Abilities
- Expert collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with HR partners and business leaders and able to make recommendations to upper management
- Demonstrated ability to discretely handle confidential information with care
- Demonstrated problem solving, time management and priority setting skills
- Ability to multi-task and drive multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
