JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The following sets forth the primary responsibilities of this job, but is not an exhaustive list.The Bank, through its managers and supervisors, reserves the right to assign any additional duties necessary to meet the needs of our clients, associates and/or shareholders.

Provide a full range of business banking services with an emphasis on loan and deposit business products, with a goal of earning 100% of the client's relationship.
-
Develops and expands business relationships by calling on potential and existing clients to offer business loan, deposit, and treasury services. In addition, the Business Banking Officer will be responsible for identifying Consumer and Mortgage opportunities for their Business Clients and the Business Client's Associates

Provide financial advice and counsel to business clients on credit structure and treasury management products.

Counsel the client in all aspects of the onboarding process, from initial meetings to loan closing.

Deliver a consistent, positive experience to all clients with every interaction
-
Must have the ability to critically review, analyze, and structure business loans.
-
Monitors loan portfolio performance by maintaining contact with the borrowers and understanding and resolving problems when appropriate
-
Promotes the Bank's image in the community by participating in community activities, coordinating community development efforts, and presenting a favorable image in the community that will lead to new business relationship opportunities
-
Proactively call on clients / prospects / referral sources of 300 + calls per year is expected to ensure maximum results. Results consist of acquiring, expanding, and retaining business banking relationships, with an enhanced focus on deposit, treasury and business lending growth.

Establish a referral network and build relationships within an established COI network.
-
Conduct market industry research for market trends that impact client's business and spot opportunities to provide financial services.

Work closely with the assigned Banking Centers to ensure business banking portfolio growth.

Demonstrates personal and interpersonal behavior, attitude, judgement, communication, and initiative with clients and teammates alike

Serve as the relationship manager and primary contact between the client and other areas of the Bank such as Treasury Management, Consumer Banking, and Residential Banking.

Develop and maintain relationships with business partners to ensure the opportunity to achieve 100% of the client's relationship

Interact with others (co-workers, management, clients, and vendors) in a professional and tactful manner including treating them with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position.

Protect all client and bank information, follow Customer Privacy Guidelines, and Information Policy & Procedure for communication with clients, vendors and associates.

Responsible for adherence to bank's operational compliance and security policies and applicable state and federal laws.
-
Maintain current knowledge and consistent compliance with regulations and bank policies and procedures related to the position, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirements.

EDUCATIONAL KNOWLEDGE AND/OR PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Required:This position requires the following educational and/or job experience:
-
Bachelor's degree in Business Administrations or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
-
Minimum 3 years of successful commercial or small business lending.
-
Minimum 5 years banking experience.
-
Minimum 5 years of business to business development experience.

Preferred:
-
Master's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
-
Minimum of 7 years of successful commercial or small business lending.
-
Minimum 7 years of banking experience.
-
Completion of a bank training or formal credit training program.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:The following is intended to give an overview of the requirements of the position but is not an exhaustive list.

Strong credit background with ability to analyze financial statements, underwrite loans, and prepare loan presentations for approval by credit committees.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:The following is intended to give an overview of the work environment of the position, but is not an exhaustive list.

Office setting with traditional hours.

Must be able to work at a rapid pace for long periods of time (typically no longer than 8 hours).

Must be able to push, pull, pull up, bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and holdarms overhead,turn head-neck-shoulders as needed, grasp and hold tools and other items with hands, for either extended periods of time or many times throughout the workday.

Must be able to travel - estimated at 50% to 60% of the time.
