Job Description:
CENTERSTONE POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Licensed Mental Health Counselor - Trauma Services Job Code: 421
Position Summary: Work as a member of a collaborative team to provide screening, assessment and treatment (including, individual, group, & family) to adolescents and adults (may also see children) who have been victims of sexual abuse. In home/on site counseling may be required. Must have experience working with victims of trauma and persons with mental health or co-occurring issues, knowledge of trauma and sexual abuse treatment modalities. Formulate and implement solution-focused treatment plans. LMHC, LCSW preferred. Florida driver's license, current auto insurance and safe driving record required.

Minimum Qualifications: Master's Degree required, LMHC or LCSW preferred. Must have experience working with victims of trauma and persons with mental health or co-occurring issues, knowledge of trauma and sexual abuse treatment modalities. Must have experience and knowledge working with trauma survivors and treatment of PTSD. Knowledgeable and comfortable with computer-based systems.

Preferred Qualification: LMHC or LCSW preferred. Bi-lingual preferred.

Essential Functions/Job Duties:
Develop therapeutic rapport with clients - Meet with clients as scheduled to aid in development of therapeutic relationships. Diagnostic Assessment - Formulate a provisional diagnostic assessment based on information presented, identify need for risk assessment. Concurrent Documentation - Completes documentation within 24 hours. Provide individual, family and group therapy to individuals for mental health and/or substance abuse disorders. Screenings - Complete screenings for depression, suicide, drug use, home assessment, etc. Treatment Planning - Developing, writing, implementing, evaluating and revising overall treatment goals/objectives and plans per ongoing assessment of needs and input from the individual using individual strengths. Therapeutic Interventions - Use of empirically based modalities to engage and manage their mental health or substance abuse diagnosis. Referrals - Complete, document and follow up on referrals. Discharge/close referrals - Discharge clients who successfully complete therapy services and those who fail to follow through. Other Related Duties - Peer Reviews, consultation, attend staffings, work with community partners, state reporting, follow contract policies and processes, state reporting, etc.

Work Environment/Physical Demands: This position operates in a professional office environment and spends time in behavioral health treatment settings. Moderate noise levels as found in a business office with computer & printers. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud. Sits, stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during work hours. Is subject to frequent interruptions. Stress ranges from low to intense depending on situation. Reasonable accommodations will be made as needed.

Position Type, Expected Hours of Work and Travel: This is a full-time position, and the expected work hours are 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday - 8:30-5:00. Some early morning, evening and weekend hours when needed. Some travel required.
