Job Description:

Velex, Inc. is hiring a Assembly Technician in San Antonio, TX market.

As an Assembly Technician, you will be part of a new team dedicated to the assembly and preparation of Telecommunication and Smart Infrastructure equipment. Assembly and preparation duties include, but are not limited to, assembling/installing brackets, RF equipment, lighting, testing, etc.

What You’ll Do:

• Assemble and prepare equipment for use on sites in a warehouse environment


• Equipment preparation for telecommunication sites to include tower and small sites for a variety of wireless carriers according to specifications


• Operate commonly used hand tools efficiently

The Skills and Background You'll Bring:

• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and understand operational manuals in English


• Able to work from manufacturing/construction drawings, final assembly blueprints, and/or verbal and written instructions with a minimal supervision


• Capable of performing repetitive tasks while maintaining a steady pace


• Must be able to follow all safety policies and procedures while contributing to and maintaining a safe, clean and orderly work environment.


• An understanding of basic computer programs


• Must be able to pass a drug and background test


• Must be 18 years of age or older with a valid Driver's License


• Adequate vision with or without correction for verifying quality of work


• Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs safely and eye/hand/feet coordination sufficient to operate equipment safely


• Must be able to sit, stand, bend, and walk


• Must be able to crouch, kneel, and twist throughout the work day


• Must be able to reach, grasp and climb with both hands


• Flexible with shift work, to include maintenance window and weekends if needed


• Local to the market


• Good oral and written communications skills and the ability to speak, write and read English
