As a Senior Accountant, you will provide technical and general accounting assistance to the Assistant Director of Finance. In this important role, you will:

Process the general ledger month-end closing

Coordinate with internal/external data customers and suppliers as well as internal/external financial reporting

Serve as accounting department liaison for Faculty Practice Group departments

Generate monthly financial statement package with thorough analysis of budget variance

Prepare and post journal entries to the internal and campus general ledger

Review accounting ledgers to ensure proper recording of revenue and expenses

Participate in annual budgeting process and prepare budget analysis reports

Prepare monthly financials package using KHA system

Help develop systems to ensure accurate, complete and timely treatment of information

Prepare and maintain physician WRVU reporting

Qualifications

We re seeking an exceptional, self-directed professional with:

A Bachelor s degree in accounting, business administration or related field

Three to five years of professional accounting experience

Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and practices

Strong oral/written communication skills and relationship-building abilities

Supervisory experience and government accounting knowledge a plus

Background in fund accounting and healthcare accounting is desirable

Understanding of Lawson and Kaufman Hall preferred
