Helix Electric is currently hiring an Experienced Service Technician Electrician to join our team in Reno, NV. Our Service Tech Electricians execute service calls in virtually all areas of the electrical industry, commercial, hospitality, hospitals, industrial and residential and. They expertly assemble, install, maintain and test electrical equipment and wiring systems.

Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

Ensure electrical systems meet all company standard job specifications, the NEC requirements, and other relevant local codes

Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using a variety of tools
-
Create, maintain and repair the electronic components and equipment involving electricity
-
Determine condition of electrical equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and determine needed repairs
-
Collaborate with electricians or electrical engineers to maintain machinery and specialty equipment
-
Identify problems in complicated electrical grids, isolate the issue and find resolution
-
Use specialized measuring and diagnostic devices to evaluate electrical equipment
Requirements:

Customer service oriented to work directly with our customers

Problem solving ability in the electrical field
-
Comprehend electrical blueprints and review for accuracy
-
Ability to interpret schematics to build electronic devices
-
Knowledge of electrical grids and ability to install and troubleshoot

Mathematical aptitude to create and analyze schematics
-
Ability to identify issues and correct problems with electrical components
-
Journeyman certification or equivalent electrician experience
-
Journeyman Trade Certification is highly preferred

Excellent working knowledge of the Building Codes

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
OSHA 10 Certification required, will need OSHA 30 after 90 days

CPR/1st AID Certification

Valid driver's license and clean driving record
