Responsibilities

in this role, you will perform various duties which include, receiving functions, distribution of linen, supplies, and equipment, as assigned within all facilities at UCLA Health System in accordance with standards established by management, stocking, cleaning and organizing the inventory holding rooms and other work areas. You will be responsible for filling orders, packing, delivering, creating and maintaining appropriate inventory documentation. You will perform physical inventory counts and accurate data entry.

This position is a support position to patient care units, clinics, including the procedural interventional, and radiology areas. Within the procedural and distribution areas, you will work closely with the clinical staff to identify their needs and staging preferences. Set up and/or modify products within a supply management software. Place orders to replenish inventory supply levels using a handheld or third party software to replenish inventory to set PARS. Reconcile packing slips against orders and delivered content. Assess and revise PAR levels to accommodate changing demand as well as recommend or assist in inventory cost reduction initiatives.Qualifications

Required:

* Must be able to perform heavy manual tasks including pushing/pulling heavy linen carts up to 400 pounds

* Must be able to lift/carry and transport supplies weighing up to 50 pounds

* Ability to effectively communicate, read, write and follow verbal and written instructions in English

* Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations; addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

* Ability to complete accurate calculations of inventory replenishment, weight, units of measure, and package counts.

* Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and protocols without continuous monitoring

Highly desired:

* Inventory management experience in a hospital or clinic and electronic ordering using a handheld utilizing a fully integrated supply chain fulfillment software such as Lawson
