Job Description
Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a Development Intern starting June of 2021 in Minneapolis, MN! This role will support analysis of Ryan-owned and developed projects and the underwriting and analysis of potential acquisitions. It will also assist in managing the asset needs from inception to final disposition and acquisitions.
Some things you can expect to assist in and/or support:
- Interpret and apply information in loan and sale documents and lease agreements
- Model real estate issues and cash flows using appropriate tools
- Evaluate and project cash flows for Ryan Funds
- Support the packaging and writing of department offering materials
- General support of departmental needs
- Synthesize an executive summary for an investment offering
- Gather, document and archive financial analysis information
- Manage broker interactions and relationships
- Support of targeted marketing of investment properties for sale
To be successful in this role, you must:
- Be within 18 months of graduation
- Be pursuing a bachelor's degree in real estate or finance or related fields.
- Be able to work up to 40 hours a week for at least a three-month term (summer)
- Have strong working knowledge of Argus and Excel, including the ability to model complex financial structures (This will be formally tested.)
- Ability to work both independently and on a team and develop strong relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and overall attention to detail
You will really stand out if you:
- Are extremely well-organized and can communicate clearly.
- Demonstrate entry-level presentation skill set.
- Display relationship building skill set
- Have previous related internship experience (i.e. real estate and/or underwriting experience)
