Job Description:

The University of Houston Downtown (UHD) invites applications for a one-year, renewable position of Lecturer in Political Science. The candidate will teach sophomore-level Federal Government and Texas Government, and upper-level courses in the individual’s area of specialization. The lecturer position has a 5-5 workload and additional opportunities for course releases, summer teaching, and graduate teaching.  

Candidates must possess a Ph.D. from an accredited institution at time of employment.  

Preferred Qualifications: 

Candidates will demonstrate a sustained record of excellent teaching. Candidates will be able to teach in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats. Candidates should also be willing to teach at the UHD-Northwest campus.
