Summary

The Architectural Metal Manager provides oversight and guidance for the SIGCO metal plant / fabrication facility. This is a key position on the SIGCO Senior Leadership Team, and reports to the SIGCO General Manager. Responsible for business development and growth with the primary focus on sales, technical, and overall operations. The demonstrated ability to increase market share and provide day-to-day leadership and direction by maximizing financial performance will be essential performance metrics. Development of talent within the business and creating and maintaining strong customer relationships are fundamental expectations of this key leadership role.

Job Responsibilities


  • Develop, implement and clearly communicate strategies, goals, and objectives that will foster an environment of continuous improvement for the company’s performance and increase productivity to achieve growth in sales, increase market share, and improve financial performance.

  • Lead the Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, Operations, Safety and other key support functions to deliver effective overall business growth and financial performance.

  • Review and monitor performance against operating plans, budget and strategic plans to develop and initiate action plans to meet these objectives by driving a culture of accountability.

  • P&L responsibility of the business unit, including forecasting and achievement; lead, direct, and coordinate business unit activities to achieve and increase sales and obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations to delight customers and maximize profits.

  • Attract, develop and retain top talent while driving a culture of safety, accountability, inclusivity, diversity and collaboration.

  • Maintain a zero-harm work environment for all employees and maintain all safety guidelines.

  • Foster continuous individual development to build management depth and further enhance the technical and supervisory skills of the team.


 

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Finance, Engineering, Marketing or a related field plus a minimum of 10+ years of progressive management experience in business, finance, sales and/or operations.

  • Senior-level experience in building products and manufacturing; Building Façade/Curtain Wall Projects and glass or construction industry is a plus.

  • Must be able to effectively build relationships and interact with customers, suppliers, distributors and all other commercial contacts. Negotiating and reviewing commercial contracts, project manuals, architectural drawings and details, along with meeting all compliance requirements is an essential part of this position.

  • Must be an effective communicator with logical, organized verbal and written communication, and presentation skills. Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Requires strong analytical, organizational and leadership skills.
