JOB TITLE:  Senior Financial Analyst

 

DEPARTMENT: Manufacturing

 

JOB SUMMARY:

The incumbent will be responsible for the preparation, revision and analysis of the financial impact on cost for the plant operations and results, evaluation of performance indicators, active participation on production/operations meeting providing guidance to the team.  Evaluates product costs and provides solutions for improvements. It is also expected to give support to the overall Finance Department (including Cost Accounting and General Accounting).

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION

• Distributing and entering in Budget files all production vols. from planning

• Revising all Raw Material cost with the purchasing department Demounting

• Labor cost (Budget/ Forecast)

• Unit Direct Spending cost  

• Unit Total Indirect Spending cost

• Analyzing Cost per unit budget

• Reporting Final Unit Budget

• Quarterly Forecast

• Unit RM Price & Usage Optimization

• Unit MRO Price & Usage Optimization

• Unit Labor Rate & Headcount Targeting

• Headcount Forecast

• Unit Spending Optimization

• Unit Capacity & Equipment Utilization $'s

• Unit Capex Monitoring

• WIP Inventories Targeting $'s

• FG Inventories Targeting $'s

• Cost Modeling for New Product/ Technology

• Manage Requisition Request

• Account Reconciliation

• Monthly & YTD Product Costing for Process, Cell, Product, BU & Total Plant

• Unit (BU & SU) KPI's Monitoring and Feedback

• Cost Modeling for Process Improvement

• Comply with all requirements of SOX as well as year- end audits

• Assuring Compliance with Laws & Regulations

• Approve Purchases Requisition (per approval matrix)

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

 

• Five to eight years of experience in Cost Accounting functions in regulated manufacturing environment.

• Financial planning experience.

• Cost development and variance analysis.

• Inventory valuation and cycle count program.

• Experience in Business Unit Structure Organization.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Generally works in a closed environment, in office conditions, with loud level of noise and controllable changes of temperature.

• Needs to stand, walk and may be seated for some period of time.

• Uses hands to feel, handle and reach.

• Could be required to travel.

• Works with a personal computer and programs to prepare documents or reports.

• Applies communication skills (good reading, writing, and technical skills) and mathematical concepts knowledge to perform work and coordinate with others.

• Needs to have analytical capacity and level of professionalism and judgment to resolve problems.

EDUCATION

 

• Bachelor degree in Business Administration; major in Accounting.  MBA, CPA, CMA desirable.
