Food Service Assistant

The Food Service Assistant 

This position requires:The Food Service Worker is responsible for receiving the meal deliveries daily, preparation and serving of meals for the classrooms. Tracking and documenting meal times and temperatures of meal deliveries. Reviewing the allergy list to ensure we are serving children appropriate food items. Occasionally, this staff will be shopping for items needed in the        kitchen. Cleaning, sanitizing the kitchen and putting inventory away. Staying up to date with current food service safety protocols.

• Must have completed the 9th grade. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred


• Must have the ability to read, write/print legibly sufficient to carry out the duties of the job, follow oral and written directions and maintain confidentiality.


• Must also be able to use sound judgement; demonstrate sensitivity and patience; identify and respond to individuals in need of assistance; and work effectively with a culturally diverse population.


•  Preferably food service experience.

• 1 year(s): Minimal food service experience and knowledge of food safety. Will train the potential candidate.
