Gallagher Services provides care for the adults with intellectual and development disabilities, who reside in one of our programs throughout Baltimore County, Baltimore City, Harford County, and Anne Arundel County.  

We are currently looking for a DSP Residential-Direct Support Professional. The hours for this position are the following:

• 
  Week 1:
  
  
  
  • Monday - Thursday: 2p-10p
  
  
  • Friday 1p-9p
  
  
  
  


• 
  Week 2:
  
  
  
  • Saturday & Sunday: 8a-8p
  
  
  • Thursday & Friday: 12p-8p
  
  
  
  

The DSP provides quality living support (physical, social, behavioral, career, and personal) to persons with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD) living and working in the community. The DSP ensures that human, civil, and legal rights of all people are protected by advocating, teaching, promoting dignity, and reasonable risk and following mandatory reporting guidelines for the people supported.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and supports the medical and social needs of the people receiving services.


• Transport participants to and from Day Programs and act as an aide to the driver, when required. 


• Develop appropriate activities for general and individual program plans and according to the room schedule. 

This position will require the following:

• High School Diploma


• A Valid Maryland Driver's License with a driving record showing no more than 3 points


• Medication Certification by an approved DDA course must be obtained within three months of hire


• One year experience in ID/DD or related field preferred
