Job Summary

As a member of the Decision Analytics team, the Lead Analyst will work closely with business and technology teams to recommend and develop analytical, data driven solutions to promote business process improvement and efficiency. The Lead Analyst is responsible for enabling the organization to measure progress toward meeting business goals using technologies which visualize relevant performance data. This team member supports decision analytics solutions across Vistra, including​ developing reporting & visualization using platforms and applications​, creating and maintaining KPI/metric dashboards​, and providing support for self-service analytics​.

Overview

As a member of the Decision Analytics team, the Lead Analyst will work closely with business and technology teams to recommend and develop analytical, data driven solutions to promote business process improvement and efficiency. The Lead Analyst is responsible for enabling the organization to measure progress toward meeting business goals using technologies which visualize relevant performance data. This team member supports decision analytics solutions across Vistra, including​ developing reporting & visualization using platforms and applications​, creating and maintaining KPI/metric dashboards​, and providing support for self-service analytics​.

Responsibilities

•Support strategy, technology services and vendor resources focused on reporting and analytics​•Drive the development and configuration for analytics applications (Tableau, Real Time Dashboards, Alteryx, SQL, etc.)​•Develop and lead simplification projects to improve efficiency and productivity of business users through automation and self-service​•Collaborate with business leaders to improve and implement standard processes and practices for reporting.​​•Develop and maintain a deep understanding of value drivers for Vistra business units in order to inspire and achieve innovative value creation strategies.​•Solicit requirements and model data sources to enable creation of performance dashboards which support decision making

Requirements

•Experienced gained through college degree programs and/or certifications in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or Information Technology•Demonstrated passion for data analytics, data integration, and reporting. •5+ years of progressive experience in data management, data analysis, and business intelligence​•2-5+ years experience with Tableau, Alteryx, or similar BI tools​•Cloud experience, AWS preferred​•Demonstrated consultative problem-solving approach to issue resolution and creative solutioning.•Must have the ability to communicate effectively with IT and business stakeholders to drive positive delivery of required functionality.
