Job Summary

The Project Manager will be responsible for a variety of Finance and Shared Services projects as well as helping to identify areas for improvement within the shared services department by reviewing new and existing processes, resources and systems. Effective performance in this position requires an ability to collaborate effectively with all levels within the organization, and to facilitate change in financial processes and systems in partnership with the business. Core behavioral characteristics include ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities, preference for a team environment and relationship building skills.

  • Responsible for managing current projects related to payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, sales tax and other finance functions.

  • Act as liaison between Finance and IT where necessary to implement proposed projects and improvements

  • Active involvement in current ERP (M3) migration to cloud as it relates to Shared Services and Corporate Finance

  • Focus on opportunities, efficiencies and centralization in the context of ERP migration

  • Examine third party resource opportunities for efficiency and cost savings

  • Provide continuous communication to stake-holders as to status of on-going projects and improvements; seeking input as necessary

  • Work with current Finance and Shared Services managers to identify areas of process improvement


  • Strong organizational and communication skills and attention to detail

  • Minimum five years of experience in a multi-divisional Shared Services environment

  • Ability to manage several tasks concurrently

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

  • Previous experience with M3/Lawson, Kronos (timekeeping), Ultimate Software (payroll processing) or Vertex (sales tax) a plus

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Finance or Accounting
