If you are an engineering professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in our Tinley Park, IL location, you will be part of a team that performs a variety of complex engineering functions as related to installation, service and maintenance of the Company products to meet the customer's requirements and environment.

AS AN ASSOCIATE FIELD ENGINEER YOU WILL: 

• Analyze and solve engineering problems associated with field installation and operation of control systems and/or control equipment.


• Assist in carrying out more complex engineering assignments under the direction of a more senior field engineer


• Provide instruction to customer personnel as needed for those tasks usually assigned within this position's responsibilities


• Develop and maintain good customer relations on assigned tasks with emphasis on total customer satisfaction


• Participate in the writing, review and revision of field related and/or operational procedures associated with Company products


• Participate in team assignments aimed at problem resolution, project/product familiarization and product testing and evaluation

WHO YOU ARE:

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent


• Basic understanding of networking switches and routers


• Basic understanding of loading software on Window based computers


• Good troubleshooting skills when it comes to electrical wiring


• Requires up to 80% travel  


• Legal authorization to work in the United States-
