The mission of the Communication Specialist is to lead, coordinate and run communication activities within the Division and Product Company / CTIP which drives sustainable profitable growth. This includes responsibility for the structure and tools of internal and external communications, ensuring they are aligned to the strategic objectives of the Division, Product Company and Brand.

Main Responsibilities (Give 6 to 8 main areas of work. State what is to be done to what - the end result e.g. Develop, agree and implement detailed sales plans to increase market share in Europe):
Internal CommunicationsCreate content for Yammer, our internal social media tool and post that content and create interaction.Help prepare the division s annual conference and other internal events.Help coordinate workshops with local Communications Managers (CMs) in person and/or online.Help coordinate monthly meetings with local CMs, together with the other semi divisions.Launch internal initiatives to receive feedback and ideas from the Customer centres and Product Companies and give feedback to them.Help to Manage the division s sales contests and coordinate with the Finance department to get monthly KPIs for ranking purposes.Collect success stories from Local comms managers and Marketing.Coordinate with the other semi divisions charity and social responsibility activities under the Edwards brand umbrella.Help support local CMs with Branding issues and questions.Help develop Communications KPIs to measure the success of the division s internal communications activities (ex: social media reports, web reports), coordinating with the other Semiconductor divisions. External CommunicationsCreate and plan social media posts. Participate in the social media coordination meetings with the other Vacuum Technique Business area communications specialists and help plan the division s Social Media calendar. Help recruit social media ambassadors for our division to share posts on Smarp, our ambassador social media tool.Help to get the local CMs more active in social media, and have them create a social media culture locally with Business Line Managers, Business Development Managers, Sales representatives, and other employees identified as important brand influencers in social media.Edit Edwards website and innovation hub site as needed to ensure VSC products and the VSC division is well representedTogether with the Marketing team, check if we have appropriate marketing collateral for all our products and update current marketing collateral for all our products, with correct branding and images. Create new marketing collateral as needed, together with Marketing teamEdit our 2 websites with storytelling, innovation news and other information in cooperation with the other semi divisions.Make sure we are visible in google for all relevant keywords.Help to coordinate magazine adds, articles, email campaigns, press releases with the other semi divisions.Make sure we are well represented in all trade shows, always in coordination with the other semi divisions and that the location organizing the show has all they need from our division.Coordinate with the other semi divisions charity and social responsibility activities under the Edwards brand umbrella.Help develop KPIs to measure the success of our division s external comms activities.

* Product Company / CTIP

Support preparation and process set-up for cascade / townhall events across the Division Product Company structure. Support activities as part of the Pride in All We Do program including subsequent expansion of program from Chelmsford to Japan and support of awareness across other Divisions. Support preparation of organization announcements and initiatives. Support acquisition integration activities and related change programs. Support preparation of communications related to change programs (e.g., SAP journey) ensuring impacts are clear and understood across the Division including impacts on Customer Centers, Service Technology Centers and interaction with other Product Companies.

* Other: generate ideas that support the Division achieve mission, objectives, goals & strategies.

Skills / Knowledge / Experience

* Skills / Knowledge:

Degree level qualification in marketing and communication.

Good communicator dealing with people effectively across all levels of the Division organization struture.

Must have fluency in spoken & written English. Knowledge of Spanish and / or Japanese is a plus.

Be resourceful and able to take the initiative to resolve issues and share that initiative with others.

Self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised and use personal initiative in progressing own work.

Show a concern for order, well organised, including looking for ways of improving processes.

Strong skills in Creative Suites (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Adobe Experience web publishing tool.

Full knowledge of Social media tools is a must.

* Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in B2B communications.

Creative approach able to bring innovative communication tactics for the selected market.

Flexible approach, able to cope with changing environment and priorities & working under pressure.

Scope of the job (give details of nature and scope of role)

* Global support role, based in one of the product companies with travel as needed. Working in the divisional team but with strong liaison across all Divisions including customer center and product centers.

* Supporting communication activities for a business delivering products / solutions globally generating ~ $300M in revenues and with a division employee / workforce of 650 people.

* The exact number of programs under the purview of this role will depend on scale and complexity, and relative prioritization of impact over the 3 - 5 year horizon.
