Multiple Positions Employer: Johns Hopkins Community Physicians Seeking qualified Hospitalists for multiple positions to provide physician services to emergency department and hospital patients. Weekend and holiday rotations required. Evening or night shifts may be required, depending on staff availability.

* Rotating Shift

* Hospitalist provides physician services to emergency department and hospital patients. Evaluate patients for admission to the hospitalist service. Respond to nursing/pharmacy pages related to patients on the hospitalist service. Order tests, medications and treatments. Oversee the direction and treatment of patients, and consult with specialists regarding patient matters. Document and code treatment in patient medical records. Report to the oncoming hospitalist physician regarding developments during the previous shift. Submit documentation of procedures for billing purposes. Report complaints or criticisms regarding hospitalist services to the risk management office. Perform other related duties as assigned.

* Medical degree or foreign equivalent. Completion of residency program in Internal Medicine. Possession of, or eligible for, Maryland medical license
