Job Description:

PRIME AE Group (www.primeeng.com), a multi-discipline A/E firm with a combined (14) office locations/over 400 employees within the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest and Southeast Regions, is seeking a Structural CAD Designer | Technician (Revit required) to join our Structural Engineering Team in the Columbus, OH Corporate office (Polaris area).

Overview / Qualifications

- Minimum of (3) years of experience, preferably in the Architecture/Engineering/Construction (A/E/C) Industry.

- Minimum of (2) years of experience creating building structural models using Revit required.

- Experience with commercial building design is preferred.

- Experience with multiple materials (e.g. steel, concrete, masonry) is a plus.

- Demonstrated ability to use the Revit model to develop an accurate and well-coordinated set of structural drawings.

- High attention to detail.

- Flexible and easily adaptable to changing priorities.

- Ability to meet multiple deadlines.

- Ability to work efficiently to deliver a complete product in a timely manner.

- Ability to work independently and/or in a team environment.

- Basic knowledge of Revit families and ability to tailor them to project requirements.

- Experience in BlueBeam Revu is a plus but is not required.

- Excellent communication and writing skills.

Responsibilities

You ll be working directly with Project Engineers to create BIM models, construction drawing sets, perform detailing, and incorporate markups.

- Prepare construction design details in AutoCAD and REVIT.

- Be responsive to the needs of clients, Engineers, and other PRIME Team Members.

- Coordinate BIM models with other disciplines (Architecture, MEP, etc.) both within and outside of PRIME AE Group.

- Demonstrate a basic understanding and command of building construction and structural engineering terminology through verbal and written communication.
