Job Description:

JOB OVERVIEW:

Valiant is seeking a skilled Deputy Program Manager to support Valiant Global Defense Service activities in the Engineering & Analysis Strategic Business Unit. Specifically, performing program management with Valiant's research, development, test and evaluation, and advanced warfighting concepts line of support to the Department of Defense. The successful applicant will be able to multi-task on a broad range of activities, including business development and capture; client engagement; contract management; financial management; quality assurance; knowledge management; overseeing back-office processes. Some proposal management and technical writing will be required. This position is in the Valiant Office in San Diego with telework opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

:

Manage all aspects of the project portfolio to include scope, schedule, finance, risk, quality and resources.

Day-to-day activities will include contract management, financial reporting, managing deliverables, quality assurance, engagement with other contracting partners, and performing customer engagement.

Perform key office tasks, such as knowledge management, maintain appropriate databases, track in-office correspondence, conduct process improvement, and other activities to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Support financial management, to include working with program controllers, invoicing, accounts receivable/payable, auditing time sheets, and providing financial reports to government clients.

Perform quality assurance activities, to include client engagement and feedback, oversight of deliverables, and other activities.

Support security and clearance management processes, as appropriate.

Support the various Program Managers within the Engineering and Analysis end market, as appropriate.

Support general business operations of the Engineering and Analysis end market, as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Have working knowledge of project management concepts and principles.
Experienced and confident in MS Excel.
Experienced with SharePoint.
Self-starter with desire to champion their own projects.
Demonstrable organizational skills.
Active security clearance preferred.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
B.S. or higher in a related field (Business Operations, Project Management, Finance)

Conform to all Safety Instructions given by those with a higher responsibility for Health and Safety.

Report all hazards, potential hazards or dangerous situations, including damaged or mislaid personal protective equipment to your Supervisor or Safety Representative.

Report Environmental impacts, anything that results in a change to the Environment as a result of Valiant's activities, products or services.

Participate in the achievement of Valiant's QHSE objectives and targets, both those at departmental and company level.
