Quality Technician - (M-F 2pm to 10pm) at Pentair in Dover, New Hampshire

JOB DESCRIPTION:

QUALITY TECHNICIAN: TEMP POSITION 3-6 MONTHS

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Quality Technician is responsible for inspecting & testing materials/products to ensure they conform to all applicable specifications and requirements.

The Quality Technician is responsible for following and enforcing written policies, work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures to make decisions in support of quality.

Additionally, the Quality Technician is responsible for reviewing processes and documents for compliance, reporting and partnering with all relevant stakeholders including Quality, Production, Materials, and Engineering teams

What should you have:

* Knowledge in quality processes for manufacturing product with minimum 2-3 years of inspection/test and/or manufacturing experience (3 years in Quality Control preferred).

* Prepare samples and conduct performance and destructive testing including product chlorine removal, pH, airflow resistance, and product burst testing.

* Able to safely handle corrosive and hazardous chemicals in routine lab use.

* Technical, analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills required.

* Experience with using machinery including lathe and chopsaw a plus.

* Ability accurately complete quality records.

* Ability to safely perform the essential job functions.

* Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.

* Computer literacy with Microsoft Office applications required.

* Must be physically able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.

* Position requires walking, standing and bending.

EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Must have solid written and verbal communication skills (in English).

Basic math competency required.

Demonstrated knowledge of quality control dimensional inspection tools a plus.
