YOUR ROLE


  • Proactively develops new thermal interface materials, leads a small team and manages projects that generate a competitive edge.

  • Hands-on attitude with desire to invent materials and processes that change the technology landscape.

  • Technical expert in adhesive chemistries like SMP/Silicones, PU, acrylates, polymer network physics, particle science, and rheology.

  • Analyzes material properties in conjunction with local and global Henkel Analytical team.

  • Manages technical aspects of project within stage gate system in conjunction with professional project manager.

  • Assesses logistical requirements to successfully complete projects and plan accordingly.

  • Translates customer and market feedback into technical specifications and develops product formulations and applicable data packages for specific customers and general market.

YOUR SKILLS


  • Ph.D in Chemistry Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related fields, with a minimum of 2 years industry experience in research and development is required. Will consider candidates a M.S. and 5 years experience or B.S. and 10 years of experience. 

  • Broad based knowledge of polymer science, including polymer chemistry, structure property relationships, rheology, bulk and adhesive mechanics of soft materials is required.

  • Preferred deep understanding of heat transfer materials and thermal interface products.

  • Bilingual in English and German is preferred but not required.
