Job Summary:
Functions as a key contributor to the overall brand team. Oversees the implementation of annual shopper marketing plans, nationally and for customized key accounts.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS                                                                           


  • Assists in development and implementation of shopper marketing plans for key accounts including Walmart, Walgreens, Target, Kroger, Safeway/Albertsons, AHOLD, Shoprite, HEB, Meijer and Hyvee.

  • Leverages Brand Assets and Ideas to customize shopper marketing tactics in-store and online.

  • Partners with Key Retailer Marketing contacts, brokers, sales teams leading to joint support plans and sales growth for both Blue Diamond Growers and retail customers.

  • Gains an understanding of brand and shopper insights and retail trends in conjunction with Consumer Insights Team.

  • Presents executional elements to Sr. Brand Manager for review and approval.

  • Manages agency partners and their scope of work to ensure successful execution.

  • Manages retailer specific marketing needs including sales materials, data synchronization (GDSN), brand ads, coupon requests, & other digital content needs.

  • Conducts post-program analysis, providing recommendations for optimizations, and communicate key learnings to broader sales and leadership teams.

  • Identifies, vets, and recommend new Test & Learn opportunities for the Shopper Teams.

  • Executes new item support plans as needed.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS                                                                                  


  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 3 years of Marketing or Brand Management, or CPG Sales experience.

  • Possesses outstanding interpersonal skills, and be able to lead cross functional teams, and work collaboratively with multiple internal and external team members.

  • Experience interacting and communicating effectively with a wide and diverse range of audiences, ranging from internal senior level managers to line managers, as well as analytical people.

  • Experience developing internal relationships, demonstrate team-building attitude, be cooperative, convey a sense of urgency and show a willingness to listen to suggestions from others.

  • Skilled in organization and systematic problem solving.

  • Possess excellent computer skills and advanced Excel, PowerPoint, email, word processing and database skills.

  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.

  • Business Oriented, strategic thinker with ability to implement decisions quickly and efficiently.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES


  • Familiarity with traditional consumer research methodologies.

  • Knowledge of IRI or Nielsen data preferred.

  • Experience working with agencies (advertising, media, packaging, etc.).

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Position stressful and demanding. Travel required 5-10% of the time.
