• Individuals in this position will be required to hold an IDEM Class II certification or higher.
• Individual will perform a wide variety of skilled and semi-skilled duties to ensure safe and efficient operation of the water treatment facilities
Key Accountabilities
• Responsible for all daily operations of the wastewater facility, collection system, and lab testing in accordance with IDEM standards
• Maintain all equipment and service for proper operation and coordination with contractors
• Maintain accurate daily log of operations and monthly DMR report to IDEM
• Respond to customer inquiries/complaints in a timely manner
• Assist with any other Wastewater Treatment and Collection system duties as needed
• Operate equipment, vehicles and tools incidental to the work
• Manage materials inventory while maintaining accurate records
• Execute service orders involving maintenance activities of the treatment and collection systems
Knowledge/Skills
• Speak/write English
• Computer and SCADA knowledge
• Individuals in this position will be required to hold an IDEM Class II certification or higher.
• Valid drivers license
Experience/Education
High school graduate or GED equivalent
Travel Requirements
Limited, based on needs for training needs, or to attend staff meetings, etc.
Work Environment
Performs routine tasks which may involve exiting a vehicle; lifting, dragging, carrying and exerting force up to 40 pounds or greater; climbing over and pulling oneself over obstacles; jumping down from elevated surfaces, climbing through openings; jumping over obstacles; crawling in confined areas; balancing on uneven work surfaces, and using body as a source of force to gain entrance to various compartments.
