Cyber Security Analyst II installs, administers, and maintains SVB cyber security tools, performs security tasks as requested by internal customers, and supports security architects with project tasks. The Analyst ensures SVB investments in cyber security products and services are realized through proper tool and service deployment, management, and monitoring, in order to protect SVB assets, manage risk, and maintain compliance.
,Analyze and approve security requests in Tier 1 ticket queues
Requisition, install, and maintain new and existing servers and systems
Perform root cause analysis when investigating suspicious trends, outages, or disruptions
Identify and apply necessary updates and patches
Configure and tune security products to eliminate false positive alerts and increase and maintain deployment coverage
Executes tasks under the direction of cyber security architects
Creates and maintains system documentation and procedures
Familiar with security best practices
Familiar with networking and TCP/IP protocol
Experience installing, managing, and maintaining Windows and Linux operating systems
Familiar with various security architectures and methodologies (Defense in Depth, Kill-Chain, NIST, Critical Controls, OWASP, etc.)

Bachelor's degree in management Information Systems, Computer Science, and/or Business, or equivalent work experience
2-4 years working in IT security domain
Experience implementing, supporting, or defining requirements for security tools such as WAF, SIEM, IPS, CASB, EDRExperience with AWS public cloud services and security tools
