Job Description:

This Team Lead position is located at our Houston, TX location. Our Team Leads coordinate and monitor the activities of a work group within a warehouse facility, provide on-the-job training as needed, and ensure completion of work while complying with all company quality and safety processes.

• Must lead by example, be organized, and practice good housekeeping and safety at all times


• Report any accidents or incidents that occur within the facility immediately to a supervisor


• Responsible for the coordination of shift start activities


• Ensure appropriate tools and materials are available and distributed to the team


• Provide on the job training for any new work instructions when applicable


• Assign specific jobs to each team member and monitor execution


• Submit end of shift report to Supervisor covering daily shift activities


• Provide input to Supervisor or Manager regarding performance of individual team members


• Report any policy or procedure violations to Supervisor or Manager


• Participate, support, and comply with all health and safety initiatives and requirements


• Perform cycle counts as required


• Investigate inventory discrepancies


• Participate in physical inventories as needed


• Investigate and recommend solutions to inventory related issues


• Assist in other departments and with special projects as needed


• Perform Process audits as assigned


• Other duties as assigned

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a warehouse environment


• Minimum of 1 year experience driving forklift


• Prior leadership experience with 2 years supervisory experience preferred


• Proficiency using the computer, especially with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook


• Ability to communicate, verbally and in writing, in a knowledgeable, clear and positive manner


• A high school diploma or equivalent


• Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time


• Ability to work with minimal supervision


• Ability to follow instructions and follow through with assigned tasks


• Ability to communicate procedures and instruct others in a clear and precise manner


• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
