CNC Machinist (Lathes) - $22 / hr at FactoryFix in Machesney Park, Illinois

Job Description:

An automotive, heavy equipment and industrial automation company in Machesney Park, IL is looking for a CNC Machinist (Lathes) for a 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM full-time opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to work 5 x 10/hr shifts for a guaranteed 10hrs of weekly overtime.


• Set-up machines, modify the program as necessary, install tool registers, and offsets.


• Install fixtures, make machine control settings, and run first piece sample parts


• Monitor the machine, detect malfunctions and make adjustments as needed to control the process


• Must be able to take a blue print to a machine and write a program in Mazatrol or G code, and follow through with setup


• Mazatrol versions T-32, T+, Fusion & Matrix control/Smooth Control.


• Check parts for dimensions and proper finish against prints

Qualifications:

• High School or GED Diploma


• Must be self-directed and have the ability to work with minimal supervision.


• Experience in a production manufacturing environment.


• Familiar with use 2,3 & 4 axis lathes on the floor. Live tooling and Y axis is a huge plus but not a must have


• Minimum of 3-5 years exp preferred.
