VP of Distribution Partners
Location: ALL LOCATIONS AND REMOTE
Summary:
We have an opportunity for a VP of Distribution Partners within Highland Capital Brokerage, a member of Advisor Group. This position's primary responsibility is the procurement of new RIA & IBD Business to Business (B to B) relationships. Additionally, they will help to support the onboarding process by coordinating with other key stakeholders, including Distribution, Operations, Commissions, Broker Licensing, New Business, Legal/Compliance, Marketing, and IT teams.
Responsibilities:
Provides day to day proactive and reactive relationship management
Advocates for IBD/RIA distribution within HCB
Serves as coordinator of internal and external resources to address specific needs and opportunities of the top IBD/RIA accounts
Report on IBD/ RIA marketplace
New IBD/RIA account development including, researching and identifying target firms, calling on those targets, and establishing new selling agreements
Drive IBD/RIA revenue and monitor, track and report on production goals for each account
Develop and participate in existing and potential new account value proposition presentations
Work closely with the life and annuity sales teams to execute tactical functions that are derived from the strategic initiatives of the company
Work with and be a primary relationship manager and point person for all HCB corporate departments, including Operations, Commissions, IT, Marketing, and Compliance
Develop and lead training initiatives for the life and annuity sales teams and IBD/RIA customers, including demos of platform technologies
All other duties as assigned
Education and License Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree Preferred, H.S. Diploma or GED certificate + Significant Practical Experience will be considered
Licenses - Insurance licensed and securities registered
Basic Requirements:
3 to 5 years of previous experience in the life and annuity space, plus inside IBD/RIA experience is required
Ability to interpret FINRA and SEC guidelines and effectively respond to producers, carriers, customers and peers
Knowledge of and ability to execute project management skills, analytical skills, quality assurance and technical writing (such as the ability to develop marketing materials or process guides for external use) skills
Presentations skills, boardroom presence, ability to adapt and become quickly proficient at new technologies including CRM and Business Intelligence systems
Proficiency with current standard platforms such as Microsoft Office Suite and web-based team platforms
