Job Summary
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for making rounds in their areas of responsibilities and completing necessary documentation on a daily basis.
- Responsible for Mechanical delays in your area of responsibility.
- Responsible for Mechanical equipment repairs through out the mill.
- Responsible for reducing maintenance costs in your area of responsibility.
- Responsible for scanning out all repair parts used from capital spares and stores inventory during their shift.
- Responsible for participating in improvement Maintenance activities (CIT, MADE, RCA, and CAPEX)
- Responsible for work effectiveness with regard to wrench time, required competencies, overtime, etc.
Accountable for the following:
- Safety (i.e., PPE, LOTO, OSHA regulations)
- Completing all environmental standards and regulations
- Completing work assignments
- Work order completion including times and comments
- Attending Safety meetings
- Time management (KRONOS)
- 5S in shop and mill.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Prefer a minimum of five years in Manufacturing or in a heavy industrial equipment environment.
- Language skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Mathematical skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Reasoning ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Mechanical comprehension
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND CERTIFICATIONS High School diploma or equivalent a must. Certified in welding, electrical or equivalent training preferred.
