Position Description:
Summary
The Corporate Trainer will support the Corporate Training Manager in the development, organization and facilitation of training materials and courses to ensure company training requirements are met for employees at all levels. They must possess the ability to train classes ranging from 1-100 students in live and virtual environments as necessary. Knowledge of mortgage banking operations, programs, products and procedures is required. Close attention to detail, problem solving, relationship building, and strong communication skills are crucial. The ability to maintain critical timelines related to delivering training is vital. The ability & willingness to train, coach and support staff as needed to enable them to originate and process complete, accurate and acceptable loan files for approval is essential.
Essential Job Functions:
Train effective mortgage data entry as it pertains to originations, as well as organizational and multi-tasking methods.
Prepare for and present webinar and on-site trainings; record instructional tutorials & presentations.
Create user guides, tutorials and PowerPoint presentations.
Update training materials and reference guides. Design and develop training programs based on both the needs of the department and those of the individual utilizing the technologies.
Handle local and out of state travel, with overnight stays when necessary (and appropriate).
Offer technical assistance and support for all mortgage lending practices.
Evaluation of the participant to ensure the subject material is conveyed in an effective manner.
Perform additional duties as directed by Corporate Training Manager.
Other Related Requisites:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
Minimum 5 years in Mortgage Lending and/or industry related experience
Travel may be required (up to 25%, including air travel, as appropriate)
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively deal with employees and various levels of management staff
Solid time management skills
Extraordinary team and customer orientation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint in addition to other various applications
Must provide a positive and professional example to trainees
Excellent facilitation skills: Instructor Led Training and Virtual Instructor Led Training in one-on-one and group presentation environments
Interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a professional and positive manner.
