What You'll Do

The Food Service Worker II will be responsible for providing support to Hillcrest Medical Center pertaining to a variety of tasks associated with the kitchen, cafeteria, storeroom, and dish room areas within the food service department.

The successful candidate will be able to:

* Assist with various processes related to the overall success of the Food and Nutrition Department

* Receives grocery and produce orders, as well as, properly storing all items in compliance with regulatory standards

* Ensure the cleanliness and sanitization of dishes, tableware, glassware, pots, pans and utensils through manual and machine cleaning methods

* Restock and maintain supplies

* Operates and maintains assorted food service equipment

* Responsible for following portion control and tray accuracy, while ensuring therapeutic diets are followed

* Accurately handles cash, cash reports and credit card transactions

* Prepares and assembles customers and patient's food for consumption (salads, trays, sandwiches, hot and cold prep, etc.)

* Assists with set-up and clean-up of catered events

* Attend and participate in all mandatory staff meetings

What You'll Bring

* Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent

* Ability to obtain and/or already possess an Oklahoma Food Handler's Permit

* Demonstrates the ability to work in a fast pace environment, while cross-training and learning other positions within the department

* Willing and able to follow food safety (HACCP) sanitation, and the Oklahoma Health Department's guidelines for service, holding of foods and overall workplace standards meeting all regulatory agencies

* Ability to read, write and speak the English language

* Must be willing to work rotating shifts, which include nights, weekends, and holidays

* Ability to demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills on a daily basis

* Ability to learn company specific computer programs and be able to demonstrate a basic knowledge level of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

* Be willing and able to maintain professional standards of practice and adhere to Hillcrest's Code of Conduct policies at all times

* Strong organizational, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and ability to work in a collaborative environment

* Assist with other duties as requested by co-workers and supervisors
