LOOKING FOR: A self-driven, junior-level candidate with
the ability to obtain Secret clearance to join our
AMERICAN SYSTEMS Engineering Services team as a
Mechanical Engineer in Norwich, CT.
As a Submarine Mechanical Engineer II you will:
* Work within the Engineering Services Division teams
and provide on-site support for the United States
Navy

A week in the life of a Submarine Mechanical Engineer
II:
* Conduct engineering analysis of mechanical
structures
* Work in conjunction with other engineers and
designers to develop software models
* Use those models to predict performance under varied
conditions
* Assist with material selection based on tested
calculations
* Conduct weight and moment calculations
* Conduct evaluations under varied operational
conditions
* Work on Temporary Alterations, Operational
Alterations and Ship Alterations based on studies
* Work under senior level engineer to learn

Requirements:
* Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
* Eligible to obtain a secret clearance
At least 3+ years of experience in:
* Working with AutoCAD or Solidworks in a senior
design project
* Experience with Finite Element Analysis
* Working with Microsoft Office
