WANTED: An experienced Senior Release & Deployment
Engineer with an active Top Secret Clearance.
As a Senior Release & Deployment Engineer you will:

A week in the life of a Senior Release & Deployment
Engineer:
* Work with the Release Management team and provide
support in CR deployment
* Provide TRR and test engineering support in the CR
process
* Provide test lab support and management
* Execute release activities in accordance with
established Change and Release Management processes
* Ensure appropriate controls in the release and
deployment processes
* Manage risk and resolve issues that affect release
management
* Manage client and management expectations with
respect to release management activities
* Enforce acceptance criteria of turnover packages:
code, build reports and other types of software
development assets
* Promote release management process and act as
process champion
* Establish and maintain plan for stakeholder
communications
* Work closely with the engineering team for planning,
testing, managing and implementation of changes
* Ensure deployments are promoted and test activities
occur within development environments in accordance
with the Release Schedule and established framework
* Follow documentation standards and produce required
release management deliverables, such as, Release
Briefing Packages and Release Plans
* Ensure completion and tracking of release artifacts
* Execute transfer of artifacts/deliverables to
Service Operations team
* Establish release management process training

Requirements:
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
* Bachelor s degree
* 4+ years demonstrated release management &
deployment planning experience for large scale
software deployments
* Working knowledge of release management and the
ServiceNow tool
* Knowledge of IT systems management, Systems
Engineering Life Cycles (SELC) and Software
Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
* Familiarity with ITIL/ITSM experience
* Must be able to effectively complete simultaneous
tasks with independent deadlines and deliverables.
* Effective oral and written communication skills with
customer, technical, and management personnel
* Must possess a self-starter mentality and be an
effective problem solver
* Ability to work as part of a team and work
independently
* Exceptional organizational & multi-tasking skills
* Experience with Microsoft Office (including MS
Office suite, Visio, and Project)
* Strong interpersonal and collaborations skills
working in a team-oriented environment
* Ability to adhere to defined processes & procedures,
and suggest improvements
* Ability to effectively prioritize and handle
multiple tasks simultaneously
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Knowledgeable in NIST 800-37, NIST 800-128 and NIST
800-137
* Possess solid understanding of CM practices and
principles
* Possess excellent communication skills
* ITIL certification
* Security+
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
* Current TS clearance with SCI eligibility and
adjudicated within last 6 years. Must be willing to
submit to a random CI polygraph
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Must be able to remain in a stationary position up
to 75% of the time
* Must be able to move about inside the office to
access file cabinets, office machinery
* Must be able to position self to maintain office
supplies on variable height shelving.
* The person in this position frequently communicates
with co-workers, management and customers, which may
involve delivering presentations.
* Must be able to exchange accurate information in
these situations
* Must be able to observe and detect employee
deviations from established policy
