THE OPPORTUNITY

This opportunity is unique opportunity for a Field Engineer! This individual is responsible for providing Electronic Security Systems (ESS) support for the day to day operations of the company in compliance with Evergreen Fire & Security standards and contract requirements. The Field Engineer is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in electronic security systems (ESS), and primarily responsible for ensuring the overall designs are in compliance with Evergreen Fire and Security (EFS) standards and contract requirements.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES

* Performs system programming and troubleshooting. This includes programming a brand new standalone system, adding components to an existing system, or some combination of both.

* Rotates among multiple assigned contracts to ensure overall success of installation and compliance.

* Understands and follows all project documents to include PWS, Installation Schedule, Drawings, proposals, and specifications to ensure the job is being installed correctly and on schedule.

* Performs the role of Sr. Technician or Site lead as needed.

* Manages updated, accurate, and legible redline as-built drawing sets while at the project site.

* Trims/wires up security/fire enclosures upon arrival to jobsite.

* Trims/wires up security/fire sensors and devices in accordance with manufacturer requirements to include correct

* resistance, diodes, surge protection, etc.

* Maintains expertise and proficiency on systems endorsed by Evergreen.

* Provides QA/QC on installations.

* Provides constructive feedback and assists with developing and managing punch list items.

* Trains and mentors technicians and senior technicians related to systems they are SME s in and general overall low voltage skills.

* Trains end users and Evergreen employees on systems they are both an expert and proficient on. Assists when necessary on the development of training content.

* Required to be commissioning agents. This includes contractor testing and government acceptance testing.

* Performs quality control review of system design packages.

* Works with technical team to develop and maintain Evergreen Best Practices for installation and commissioning.

* Provides technical support to multiple contracts at a time.

* Reports to Project Manager while assigned to contract.

* Works with peer groups to ensure collaborative partnerships by working together as it relates to the development, writing, and finalizing of submittals.

* Develops and modifies new and existing standards, processes and manuals.

* Supports the development of submittal packages in accordance with contract requirements to include but not limited to O&M manuals, testing procedures, testing results, and warranty information.

* Supports system builds in PITCO in accordance with the approved system design to minimize onsite installation time.

* Handles administrative duties as needed to perform duties and complete projects.

* Ensures compliance with all State and Federal regulations as applicable to service, installation, and maintenance of systems.

* Effectively communicates all updates, ensuring unified expectations, to staff and customers.

* Handles all other duties as assigned within qualifications.

THE NECESSITIES

* Subject Matter Expert in systems Evergreen endorses

* IAT Level II Certification

* Valid driver s license and proof of minimum liability insurance

* Pass pre-employment background, federal-class drug, financial credit check and MVR screening and participate in the company s random screening process.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Performs site lead responsibilities when necessary which may include supervisory installation crews and subcontractors.

* Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies.

* Develops and delivers training to technical staff.

* Teaches other how to deliver high quality work product.

CONTINUING EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

* Maintains IAT Level II Certification

* Obtains certifications in systems that Evergreen endorses to include but not limited to Lenel, Milestone, AXIS, MDI, AMAG, Vindicator, Hirsch Identiv, DAQ, Pelco, Bosch, Avigilon, DMP, Senstar, Open Options, Salient Systems, and Fibersensys.

* Must have or obtain OSHA 30 certification within first 30 days of employment.
