SENIOR DIRECTOR OF ENGINEERING, PRODUCT SECURITY AND COMPLIANCE

We are looking for a seasoned engineering leader to drive critical efforts that will ease the adoption and adherence to application-level product security and regulatory compliance standards at Salesforce. Trust is our #1 value and we continuously drive initiatives that help maintain and improve our Security posture. This leader will enable Salesforce to reach sectors and markets, in the US or globally, where potential customers have tremendous demand for Salesforce but are unable to use it unless our technology meets regulatory constraints. The Senior Director of Software Engineering- Product Security and Compliance will grow both the vision and the technical organization that addresses this opportunity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

*

Deliver highly visible outcomes, while balancing time pressure and long term strategy
*

Collaborate on and help drive critical security and compliance uplift projects through the establishment of standards, processes and frameworks that help maintain secure configurations, help define and drive clear communication plans
*

Develop key performance metrics to track and ensure compliance with established policies and standards, automate as much as possible, enable shift-left detection and adherence
*

Build partnerships within engineering, across functions at Salesforce, and with customers
*

Develop and promote a deep technical and business understanding of our mission
*

Set, negotiate, and evolve objectives for the organization
*

Hire, retain, and grow top engineering talent

REQUIRED SKILLS:

*

7+ years experience leading software engineering teams with a distinguished track record on technically demanding projects
*

Experience building and managing an organization of 30+ software engineers and managers
*

Track record in delivering successful SaaS products, with demonstrated accountability of one or more verticals or horizontals
*

Technical knowledge of major IaaS technology stacks
*

Experience with Agile development methodologies. ScrumMaster experience required
*

Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and product management to understand requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs

DESIRED SKILLS:

*

Experience with restricted sectors and foreign markets
*

Experience supporting security and compliance uplift campaigns
