This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience working in a fast-paced, high-throughput LEAN manufacturing facility, producing products used world-wide for ensuring quality and compliance in such areas as: consumer products, pharmaceuticals, drug testing, environmental monitoring, Homeland Security, forensics, and others.

Agilent Technologies is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for its growing consumables manufacturing facility located in Folsom, California. Agilent's chemical analysis consumables business is an industry leader in both market share and performance. Agilent is seeking individuals with demonstrated skills in quality, machine troubleshooting, teamwork and communication.

**Shift for this role is 5:30am-2:00pm with occasional flexibility on start/end time and Occasional overtime on Saturday.**

Primary Responsibilities:

* Performing a variety of technical support duties in one or more manufacturing areas.
* Duties may be related to installation, maintenance, repair and support of manufacturing equipment, technical support of one or more production processes, product test and troubleshooting, and technical analyses and problem-solving.
* Conducts tests, experiments and/or problem resolution associated with components, parts, products or processes/systems.
* May design and/or build tools.
* Evaluates manufacturing organization technical assignments and determines actions required
* Duties involve analysis and new/ customized approaches
* Solves complex problems requiring breadth/ depth of knowledge of technical discipline(s), operations, procedures

Required Qualifications:

* 5+ years of relevant experience
* Ability and willingness to handle gas cylinders, chemicals and solvents
* Experience working with pneumatic and electrical systems
* Ability to troubleshoot and get to the root cause of failures
* Familiarity with standard maintenance tools
* Experience repairing precision equipment
* Experience working in a fast-paced environment where quick responses and ability to adapt to changing priorities are required
* Desire and ability to proactively improve processes
* Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills
* Aptitude to follow complex instructions; ability to follow verbal and written instructions
* Skill to multi-task and organize thoughts as needed and competence in planning and organizing workload
* Ability to work independently and within a team with talent for establishing and maintaining positive work relationships
* Desire to work overtime as required
* Strong attention to detail; fine motor skills and ability to see and work with small objects
* Must be able to routinely pull, push and lift items more than 25 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience troubleshooting and programming PLC's
* Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
* Machining experience
* Knowledge and experience with calibration and preventative maintenance systems
