JOB SUMMARY
As a Intake Agent you will be directly supporting Medicare Part D members and providers with requests related to their pharmacy benefits. This is a great opportunity to initiate a career with a leading healthcare company by completing timely and accurate documentation of all Medicare Part D requests, in compliance with Medicare guidelines, while promoting a best-in-class service experience.
In this role you will be responsible for:
* Accept incoming calls from members, providers, and plan sponsors
* Utilizing multiple software systems to complete Medicare Appeals case reviews
* Meeting or exceeding government mandated timelines
* Processes Claim referrals, new claim handoffs, Nurse reviews, Grievance and Appeals
* Acquiring and maintaining basic knowledge of relevant and changing Med D guidance
* Working with staff to resolve issues and concerns
* Ability to multi-task to accomplish workload efficiently
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
* 2+ years of general business experience that includes problem resolution, customer service, business writing, and quality improvement
* 1+ Years of experience working with Medicare Part D
* Ability to type 30 WPM
* Familiar with Medical Terminology and Knowledge of Medical Coding
* High School Diploma or GED
* Health insurance background
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Products

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Requires sitting for long periods of time. Some bending, stretching or reaching required. Requires the physical dexterity to operate a keyboard, calculator, telephone, copier and other office equipment as necessary. Requires ability to perform data entry functions for 95% of the scheduled work shift and perform duties in a fast-paced environment with high demands and tight deadlines. Requires ability to view computer monitor for long periods of time without eyestrain.
