Your role:
As Production Manager you will be responsible for managing the end to end operations of Packaging, Loading and Warehouse.

To succeed, you must be able to:
- Provide leadership development for employees in packing, loading, maintenance and warehouse
- Maintain compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, quality specifications, safety standards and sanitation practices
- Establish and execute manufacturing goals and objectives for the production area
- Maintain the facility assets with the support of the reliability team
- Control costs of production, quality, and sanitation
- Monitor production volumes versus plan and communicate to the team
- Develop, participate and lead process improvement initiatives
Above all you will be expected to carry out all your activities with reliability, integrity, compliance and in a safe, environmentally responsible, and efficient manner.

Your responsibilities:
- 40% - Provide leadership for the day to day execution of the blending, bulk, packing, maintenance and warehouse team to deliver world class service to our customers
- 20 % - Customer Focus - Provide support in the growth in the core products area, specialty grain area, and support the ANNEX.
- 10% - Development of the production team to achieve high performance execution
- 10% Provide site leadership to ensure all Ardent Mills systems and policies are adhered to. The Production Manager will be the point of contact to outside of Ardent Mills for this location
- 10% - Maintain asset reliability by leading the reliability team on preventative care as well as through operator care activities

Essential skills and experience:
- Bachelors degree and experience leading teams in a manufacturing environment
- This role requires competencies in the areas of influence, communication, teamwork, interpersonal effectiveness, initiative and process discipline.
- Ability to build strong working relationships
- Ability to prioritize, plan and execute
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to coach and provide feedback
- Ability to create/modify/write specifications, training materials, and/or best practices
- Capability and willingness to continue to develop and broaden an extensive knowledge of relevant areas of expertise
- Experience managing projects, and driving data-based decision-making process
- Ability to provide operational support 24/7

Good to have:
- Degree in science, engineering, food science, milling, or related and 2 years or more in a food manufacturing environment
- Experience in a shipping or warehouse environment
- Experience managing packaging operations
- Knowledge and experience in continuous improvement methodologies, tools, trends and best practices
- Experience managing teams

Physical requirements and working conditions (with or without reasonable accommodation):
- Willing and able to work weekends, Holidays, 7-day weeks, and opposing shifts when needed.
- No allergies to dust or wheat products
- Ability to work at high elevations and confined spaces when required
- Ability to lift 50lbs
