Metrology Intern
This is a paid, ten-week internship during the summer of 2021.

Job Summary
As a Metrology Intern at Novo Nordisk your duties may include:
- assisting with calibrations & repairing temperature, pressure, conductivity, humidity, pH, TOC, flow, mass & frequency measuring equipment
- accurately performing complex mathematical calculations relating to calibrations
- accurately & legibly records all activities in appropriate documentation
- reviews documentation for accuracy & completeness
- learning the core processes & working on small projects and equipment reliability to meet all customer, business & regulatory requirements
- preparing and delivering a presentation to management on the details of your project at the conclusion of the internship
- other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
- Must be a rising junior, rising senior or graduate student
- Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial) or related field

Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale at the time of application
- 0-6 months of work-related engineering experience

Technical/Process/Functional Knowledge
Knowledgeable in the following systems: Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or similar fields.

Organization/Planning
Assist in planning of engineering activities, gathering data, following up on results, etc.

Physical & Other Requirements
Depending upon area of assignment:
- If assigned to a manufacturing area must be able to work in confined spaces & near operating equipment & work in loud noise environments with hearing protection
- If assigned to a support or office role must be able to work in an open office environment with extensive use of computer keyboard & frequent use of telephone
- Ability to work hours necessary to support 24/7 manufacturing activities
