Job Description:

Work Days and Expected Hours:

Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

(Additional hours as necessary to meet the objectives of the department).

Function:  Coordination of all validation and reporting of Retail Mortgage Loans that are HMDA reportable.  Assist with the completion and delivery of mortgage disclosures.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Support the maintenance of an accurate and complete HMDA Loan Application Register by:


    • Review every Retail Mortgage loan for HMDA accuracy

    • Determine the action code for all cancelled and denied loan applications

    • Input correct HMDA data on Mortgagebot LOS



  • Assist in the training and education of Retail Mortgage Department personnel, operations and Originators who complete mortgage applications and the HMDA checklists.

  • Determine the cause of the HMDA errors, track by employee and communicate to the responsible supervisor.

  • Keep current with Regulation C (HMDA) requirements.

  • Respond to requests from the Compliance Department regarding potential HMDA violations.

  • Investigate and responds to the Compliance Department regarding flood violations.

  • Assist Loan Servicing with validating property values for flood insurance renewals.

  • Maintain and enhance good working relationships with S&T employees, demonstrates the ability to work effectively independently; also works as a team player to the success of all department and the organization

  • Performs additional duties as required including any administrative assistance to support the functions of the Retail Mortgage Department.

Physical Demands

Operates a keypad device:  50% of the day and operates office equipment 5% of the day. The primary parts of the body involved in performing these tasks are the fingers, thumb, hands, wrists, and elbows and upper torso. Standing is required one hour per day in a straight position.  Sitting is required six hours per day in a straight position. Walking is required one hour per day at moderate in speed. Requires the use of manual dexterity skills for typing up to 40% of the business day. Specific vision requirements include close vision of 18”-20” for computer work. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Experience


Required


  • 2 - 5 years: Two to five years general business experience and two to five years specialized experience with the FannieMae Pre-Closing and Post-Closing Quality Control Program; consumer lending/underwriting and consumer loan review experience or an equivalent combination. Three to five years credit analysis experience is also preferred.
